They will also learn that their are two sides even though we eat healthy we still need to do some physical activity to keep our body working and maintaining it in a healthy conditions. In this lesson plan children will learn more about exercise and how much moving around activity they should be doing. In this class they will evaluate their own activity levels and how they can bring more movements in to their lives. The students will learn how they can spend their time and include physical activity as part of their day By the end of this class the students will learn what category they belong in active , inactive or very active. They will evaluate themselves and see if they need to change their activity level and compare this to previous lesson plan and look at the amount of calories they are eating and if they are burning the right amount. They will write on the bottom of their activity sheet what they need to change and how they can improve it. Then the teacher will ask them to brainstorms ways that can increase activity level and write it on big poster. Then the students will get to go outside and play a game that involves them to be very active and increase their activity level. Before the students will go outside they will measure there relaxed pulse. Then when they go outside and they will measure the active pulse. The students will measure the number of time the heart beats per minute. They will do this my either measure the heart rate by putting their finger on the artery in the neck  or on their hand and see if they fall under the normal resting heart rate that is between 60-100.

Timeline:

The lesson plan will begin with the teacher asking them what it means to be active. Then the teacher will pass out the activity level sheet and the students will fill out how many activities they do daily. Then the students will evaluate themselves and see what category they belong to either non-active, active, really active. They will see how much they eat and how many calories they burn. From that the students will assume if they need to make a change in their life style by adding more activities or other improvements. Then the teacher will ask the students to brain storm 12 ways to increase their activity level. These can be either exercise or example of how they can make improvement instead of taking the elevator in the mall they can take the stairs. Once that is done the teacher will show the students how to measure their pulse. First they will take their relaxed pulse. Then the students will go outside and go do an activity that involves them to run and move a lot . Then they will measure there active pulse. Then they will compare how their two pulse were different. The teacher will also show a table where students between age 11-17 heart rate should  be 60-100 per minute. The students will evaluate their pulse and see what they need to do get themselves more active.
